This is a video I did regarding New World MMO and the Legendary Bait that you can get from salvaging the Legendary Anmisema fish that is PRIMARILY out of Brimstone Sands fishing hotspots.
Not terribly surprising, a few things have changed with v2.02 that was released after I made the video. Namely, pulling Legendaries was NERFED INTO OBLIVION from the 1-Star Broad Hotspots. I think the real issue was that it was actually harder to get common and uncommon fish, and needless to say the Fish Roe Mafia and their bots rely on those pulls so of course they were in an uproar.
Quite literally, the feature that had made fishing feel so good on the PTR and up until this update was apparently a bug. In typical fashion, they targeted the bug that players were enjoying while I continue to suffer acute performance issues and stuttering.
Anyway, these changes DO NOT appear to have changed the Fat Salmon pull rate (about 1 for every 25 Legendary Bait), or the Fish Roe salvage rate (4-5 Roe per Fat Salmon salvage). I still think this is a worthwhile exercise, and if anything the price of Fish Sauce is about to go up to the 200g range.
